Chalk this up to a sign of the times.

I just received an e-mail from Good Sam RV financing offering me a free $100.00 gas card if I get a loan thru them. I just paid very close to $4.00/gallon for unleaded regular gas (I live in Chicago area we have some of the country's highest gas prices). Anyway, the e-mail says, "$100.00 in Free Gas could go a long way". I say, I doubt it! At about 8 miles to the gallon average I can go about 200 miles on $100.00. (also 25 gallons is about 1/3 of a tank of gas).

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad that gas is going up so high.

I really don't expect anybody to "fix" the problem, I just thought the timing of the e-mail was a little funny

I agree--100 bucks these days would hardly get me out of the neighborhood!

I guess you will have to crunch some numbers and see if the $100 would be worth it considering the interest rate they offer you compared to others.

Good luck!
