FREE week at a South Carolina type A RV resort

The combination of bad timing, and economic realities, have lead the developer of formerly Cane Creek, now Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort, to offer up to a free week stay to any type 'A' owner between now and October 31st, 2012.

Peggy and I bought a lot here a couple years ago. We're convinced the biggest reason sales have been disappointing is that no one knows its here. If you're ever in the neighborhood, give them a call and stop by.

By the way, there's been NO requirement to sit down for any formal "presentation". Only the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful and tranquil setting (with the occasional train whistle in the distance), great fellowship and the occasional tour of the 11,000 acre lake on one of the resorts pontoon boats.

For what it's worth, we're only about 4 hours from the site of the 2012 IRV2 national rally. Peggy and I will probably head back here immediately after that rally. It'd be great if other members might join us.

Happy trails...

Thanks for the link and the promotion. It sounds like a great deal and from the website, the location looks great! The campground is about 1,000 from where we are now, so a quick trip out there now doesn't make sense, but as the offer is through Oct 2012, Lake Greenwood will make a great stop for our travels next year - in fact, I was just looking at the 2012 iRV2 Rally and it's only about 200 miles from Lake Greenwood ... hhmm maybe we'll book a week at Lake Greenwood for the week before or after the Rally.

Wow, that's a real deal. Thanks for posting that for our type A members. I'm going to try to figure out a way to get down there. Maybe we can have a pre or post iRV2.com Rally.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I'm likin' that idea. The clubhouse is a great place to watch football, and the pontoon will hold a 'boat load' of people. We've been having wine and cheese socials on Friday nights (resort supplied) and pot luck pancake 'brunch' on Sundays (the resort supplies the pancakes). There's also a nice big gas grill on the pool patio we could have a cookout / potluck of our own too.

I like free. Wish I could take advantage of this offer. What I don't like (despite the fact that I own a coach that qualifies as a Class A...Bus Conversion) is any person, place or thing that requires that I own a Class A (now called Type A to remain PC) in order to participate. So I know nothing of this park other than I will do anything in my power to avoid it. Class warfare in the RV industry should be avoided. I like my 5th wheel/ trailer friends and I do whatever I can to avoid parks that exclude my friends.

Lake Greenwood is a beautiful area. I have friends in the area that visit often. Wish the temps were a little warmer in the winter for the DW. The price seems very good for the area especially right on Lake Greenwood.
