Freightliner Dealer

Has anyone used The Freightliner Dealer located in East Hartford CT. for service work?

I noticed they are an Oasis dealer which I assume means they are RV friendly so to speak. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You are correct about Oasis. As far as how good they are I don't know. Most long term RVers will agree that the only folks we can truly trust are at the factory service center in Gaffney, SC. Across the country I have read of trustworthy folks, but from personal experience only the factory service center left me feeling that the money I spent was of value in service. And that was just last week.

Hope all goes well for you.

You've got to be talking about Freightliner of Hartford, on Roberts St. I made an appointment with them exactly one year ago for a routine service while passing through Hartford. They are an Oasis shop, and when I was there I saw a couple of other coaches being worked on. I thought they were great, and I would recommend them. I stopped there again this past August (again just passing through) just to ask them for advice about something. They remembered me from the year before, talked to me about my question, and never charged me a nickel for it.

They are a busy shop, and there's not a lot of pretty glass and chrome. They do primarily truck maintenance, and they seem to do a lot of fire truck work for towns all over CT. Having said that, they do know their way around motorhomes, and they go out of their way to take care of you. I would go back there again without hesitation.

Tell them I recommended them. John Gaquin-- the guy with the Element.

That is really good to hear. Although they are almost 2hrs from my home I
believe it will be worth the trip. Just talking to them over the phone I felt as though they were knowledable, unlike some of my local shops that could care less about servicing RVs.
