Some are connecting their black tank rinse to their fresh water rinse. You are entrusting a check valve to protect your fresh water hose from any black tank backwash. Worse yet, for those that keep the black tank rinse connected via a T, you won't know when the check valve has failed. I have a dedicated black tank rinse hose that stays attached to the rinse connection.

My check valve has a few holes around the perimeter. When I finish the flush and turn off the water pressure to the black flush some (very little) water comes back through the hose and drips out of those weep holes. If the check valve fails no water would come out the weep holes and I would immediately disconnect the black flush hose from the T.
