Fresh water indicator problem

1996 American Eagle, just bought it and was going thru all the systems. All work normal except the fresh water indicator lights. Interior reads empty and outer reads full all the time. Was filling the tank and nothing changed. With no way to tell it filled up until it came out the overfill vent. Ideas?

sounds like some of the wires have come disconnected from the sensor, which run to the monitor panels.
