Is this a typo on OPs part, typed should when meant should not? (I do this all the time!) The pump should not typically need to run on shore water, which has its own pressure.

Sorry should have specified. Pump is only running when I'm on my fresh water tank not shore water.

Just a side note about if the pump should run when on city (shore) water. In very few cases I've seen city water pressure too low for a nice experience. In those cases I'll switch on the pump just to increase the water system pressure. This has nothing to do with the OP.

I can't do that, if I leave the pump on while on city water it just recycles the water back into the storage tank.
