Fresh water tank

New owner of old class a. What is the best way to drain fresh water tank to prevent anything growing in it while storing?

You should have low point drains that will drain the tank. You could also use the wet bay shower, open the valves and let the shower hose dangle to the ground. You should also take out the drain plug in the water heater to get rid of that water in storage. Each year I use bleach in the whole plumbing system to sterilize and clean it out.

If you can't find low point drains, then you could disconnect a waterline at the pump, the strainer, etc. to allow water to run out. Gravity works!

Depending on length of storage, I don't drain the fresh water system. Treated (city) water will remain good to drink for a few months if the MH system was properly sanitized in the beginning.

I drain and refill our tank once a month to keep it fresh even when in storage. You never know when something will happen to the city water like a pipe breaking and your city water not being available.

Like BFINN181 said you should find low point drain lines. Mine are located in the water service area.
