From Gas To Diesel

I have decided to upgrade from my gas motorhome to a diesel motorhome. I want to get either a 2011, 2012 or a 2013 Winnebago Journey 40U. I sure would like anybodies experience with the 40U. What should I look for as far as issues or features. It would be helpful to here about your experiences with the 40U.

I think you'll find it's a good coach. Like many other coaches, the clear coat paint seems to go bad quickly and many companies have improved their paint process and the amount of clear coat, yet I've seen several fairly new 2-3 year old Tours with bad paint still.

i have owned a 2011 Winnebago Journey Express 39N for one year and put 7,000 miles on it on top of the 12,000 miles that were on it from the original owner. I have had no problems, paint is like new, everything works and it is a great coach. I did not purchase an extended warranty. Check the refrig to see if it is part of a recall if it is a Norcold. Mine was not part of a recall and works perfectly.

Good Luck! When I read of the problems some have with various brands of coaches I feel very fortunate to have bought this coach! Winnebago customer support is outstanding. Register the VIN as a second owner on their website and they treat you as though you were the original owner. Very pleased.

We have a 2010 40L on a 2011 Chassis. We have 46,000+ miles without any major problems. The paint looks like new, but we did not get the "Diamond Shield" on the front because we have seen that go VERY BAD on many makes & models. This is our third Winnie and if we were looking for a new one Winnebago would be on the top of the list.

The few Winnebagos I've looked at show great quality. This is why I am leaning towards Winnebago.
