Front tire blowout

Was wondering if anyone out there with a RexHall RoseAir has had a right front tire blowout. We were in NM when something came out from under a passing truck and took out our tire. When it happened, the disentrigating tire tore through the floorboard next to the passenger chair and caved in the basement compartment. The resulting hole in the floorboard measured 22" x 53" long.
Needless to say, my wife was a little distraught over the incident.
Any like events and if so your resolution?

You sound like me too, traveling at the speed of light with one car length between me and the shinny hinny of the truck in front of me... What a thrill

Several years ago, I-10 well East of Pensacola. Car in front tapped brakes, started to swerve then bounced in the air. A flattened pickup truck tailgate popped out from under that car, Trucks all to my left, I had time to grunt and hold the wheel straight. Both the MH and the toad banged and bounced over it. Off the next exit, checked everywhere and no damage... Could have been a bad day.

My 1990 MH had 19.5" tires, I've had 1 blowout, knocked side panel forward of the wheel well out at 90 degrees, bent angle iron brace into the back of the propane tank. Tire had started thumping, I was down to about 40mph when it blew. There is a lot of energy in those tires and the higher the pressure or speed the more impact. At 500-600 rpm, that tread will thrash around quite a bit before you stop.

Sure glad no one in your rig was hurt. (I'm sure "Distraught" is certainly an understatement.)

Unfortunate, unavoidable accident. Turn this over to your insurance company.
