Front tires off ground, good idea or not?

Hi everyone, you all have been so helpful so I will ask another question. We moved to a new park yesterday and even though the pad seemed level, when we level off the front tires are off the ground. I don't like doing it and just relying on the jacks to hold the front of the coach up. It's a DP with air suspension. What do you do in times like this?

Thanks!!!

Ask for another spot or put blocks under wheel. I always carry 2x8x12 with me so if I have no other choice just put in front of wheel and drive up on them and what ever I put under wheel put under jacks.

I have had this on a couple of occasions but only there for one night. If I were staying longer, I would ask for a better site.

I wouldn't hesitate to have front wheels off the ground, that's the lighter end of the MH. BUT, for more than overnight, I'd back the rear duals onto blocks so I wouldn't have to raise the front so high my wife needed a ladder to make the first step.

I carry blocks, but not super high and sometimes they are not enough. I don't have a problem with front wheels off the ground if needed. You'll also need a block or step to keep from having the big first step to get into the coach.

I myself made limiting chains so the shock eyelet rubber doesn't elongate and have to hold all the weight of the front suspension. I wrapped the chain with black tape which allows it to flex but not rattle. They have been on there over 10 years.

I just ran into this on my trip out west at the KOA in Holbrook,Az, and my front tires were off the ground and just about needed a ladder to get to my steps and I thought this is it.........as I have delt with this in the past and I thought "NO MORE"
For the money I pay for a site my tires and steps should not be off the ground that high, so he moved me. I will not pay for a site that is that out of level no more, I will be moved to a site that will work or leave, that simple. Campgrounds charge to much these days and there is no reason not to have a level site other than not wanting to spend a little money or just plain lazy with no interest in thier park.

The pad alongside our house is not level so I have to have the front tires off the ground. I've done this for 11 years now for up to 6 months at a time with no harmful effects.
Newmar says it's OK
Spartan says it's OK
Reyco Granning says it's OK
Koni says it's OK
HWH says it's OK

Oops, in this situation I think you are exaggerating the problem of a high front end, no worries happens to me all the time

It was hyperbole, but my entrance is at the front corner and when jacks are fully extended the first step is uncomfortably high and my wife can't reach the entrance latch without climbing on the step. Why would I set up that way if I could use blocks or ask for a more level spot? No, there's no issue with the jacks holding it up, the safety issue is climbing in and out with the MH like that.

I'm trying to picture this solution. Wouldn't blocks under the rear tires mean you'd have to raise the front even higher to get level?

Not a problem IMHO. Do you use the auto level? If so, you might want to level it manually. I have found that I can keep the rear of the coach lower thus keeping the front lower. I have also been in this situation a few times. Just a thought!
Good Luck!
