Front TV Mounting

Is there anyone out there with a 2007 Fleetwood Terra 32K LX? I'm in the process of fabricating a mount for the Flat screen TV. The idiots where I bought it just hung it on the front of the TV cabinet with 4 4x.070 metric machine screws, which screw into the back of the TV. I doubt we would have gotten to many miles before the screws simply broke off! When I removed the TV one had already sheared. When I removed the trim I could see it once had hinges on the front panel & the TV was located in the space, not attached to the outside. I just want to confirm that the original setup had the TV mounted in the cabinet with the front trim piece on hinges for easy access.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
