Fuel Cap Keys

I just purchased a used 2003 National Tradewinds Class A and the fuel cap key odd looking (flat with 2 posts) and is plastic. I am afraid it will break very easy. Does anyone know where I can get an aluminum version? or additional plastic ones? Thanx!

I don't have an answer to your question but consider this...

I would just get a regular fuel cap. If someone wants to steel your fuel they will just figure a way to destroy your cap and fuel filler opening to do so. Beyond loosing your fuel you will have repairs to make.

Are you talking about the kind that are on boats? Like this one? Sea Dog Cast Stainless Fuel Deck Fill - Gas Caps & Deck Fills - Fuel Tanks & Systems - Shop by Department
If so any marine center has those in metal.

I apologize if I'm way off base here.

With help from roknjohn I was able to identify the fuel cap key. It is actually called a Deck Fill Key used primarily on boats. If anyone has a similar product and would like to order a backup key, you can go to sea-dog.com and search for Product # 357399 (for a nylon version) or 351399 (for a stainless steel version). Then go to Amazon and order it thru them; cost is only $3.68 each. Case closed! thanks again roknjohn!
