Fuel gage quit

Hi I'm a new member looking for a little help. I have a 2000 Holiday Rambler Endevor. A few weeks ago I started it up and the fuel gage read empty then the fuel warning light came on but I new it was half full, we have taken a trip since and hoped it would start working again but no luck. Do I need to drop the fuel tank get to the sending unit or is there something else I can try first.
Thanks Excavator

I have a Monaco Windsor so you may have the same fuel level sending unit.

Mine is a Centroid, here is a link

Here is a link specific to Monaco coaches

You might try cleaning the contacts on top of the sending unit first.
