Just about all motorhomes get around 8 mpg, but some are a little worse and some folks either lie or failed division. Generator use, driving speed, and driving technique all affect mpg.
The worst I've seen was 5.4 and the best I've seen was 10.

Last summer cut across Canada where diesel is high. Crammed my 110 gallon tank in the US and took off. 925 miles later got back into the US without any purchases still had 13 gallons left. Country Coach with Cummins ISC 36’ towed a Jeep Unlimited Wrangler. Never went over 55.

X 2 agreed Are the Canadians talking about our gallon or theirs? 10.1 average seems more like an Imperial Gallon. JMHO

Under ideal conditions , I've averaged 9.5 . Overall in eight years of ownership 8.2. Rolling at 33,000 lbs .

Cummins testing shows 30% between best and worst drivers in fleet use.

It should be doing a better than that with yearly averages, unless your driving habits are terrible.
A diesel will do somewhat better given the same size and even though it'll probably be heavier. We have 6.2 over a period of 11yrs on digital readout, controlled by the ECM, which should be pretty accurate. Then again, we're pretty heavy and pretty tall, along with pulling 4500lbs.
No matter what it is, fuel consumption is pretty insignificant for the overall cost of ownership.
One can't do much about the costliest and depreciation per mile, except to buy older, but fuel savings are pretty easy, with the easiest being, staying overnight in a Walmart or other, thereby getting 13 gallons or so, for free .
Sitting in the driveway, is the most costly part of it all and again, where depreciation per mile, plays a big part.

Our 31 ft gasser on Workhorse chassis averaged 7.5-8.0 towing a CRV.
Our VTDP 3433 runs about 8.0- 9.0 depending on terrain speed etc.
I do love driving the VTDP.

Sorry but MPG doesn't really matter for MH owners IMO.....
It seems most MH's don't travel more than 5k per year over the life of the MH.
Even at $3 dollars a gallon the difference between 10 mpg and 6 mpg is less than 100 dollars a month.
So we're going to spend $1500 - $2500 dollars a year on fuel if we drive our MH's around.
I know a penny saved is a penny earned but I wouldn't spend all this money and let mpg's decide which MH I'm going to buy.

We have a 2013 Model 3434 Ventana LE. On trips where we don't use the generator, we average very close to 10 mpg. Every 10,000 miles I add up every gallon of gas I have bought, and over 30,000 miles, this has come out to be just about 9.5 mpg. This number includes generator run time too.
Our previous motorhome had a 9 liter CAT engine. It's average mpg over 90,000 miles was just about 7.2 mpg, so I am thrilled with what I am getting now.

Not sure if this helps, I have a 36 foot Tiffin with a 425 diesel and get 7.5 towing a GMC Canyon.

My 2012 Georgetown is 38ft with the same engine, transmission and probably weighs more than yours and I get 7.1 to 7.5 mpg and I have 60,000 plus miles on it and I tow my car and drive 65-70 mph on the highway.
If you are getting 6 mpg you might be miscalculating mpg or drive in the mountains a lot or drive into 30mph head winds.
Do you drive with the Tow Haul Mode on ALL the time?
Something is not right.

My 2015 Fleetwood Excursion 35B (36' 9" OAL) with 300HP Cummins, over 33,000 miles has averaged 9.6 mpg. That's while towing a 3700 lb Suzuki Grand Vitara and running the generator (254 hours). I try to keep speed around 62-63 mph. Leaving Phoenix area heading north out of the valley, the first tank will deliver about 8 mpg, but returning I can get over 10 mpg. Mileage calculations are based on odometer reading and gallons at fill-up.
