Usually a genset has its own fuel pump because the engine pump is not powered when parked. Sounds like the engine fuel pump is bad. If it is not engine-mounted, it is likely within the fuel tank. In that case the simplest solution would be to add an electric pump close to the fuel tank.

Starving for fuel
I believe I'm having a problem with my 2000 Dutch Star with a ISC 300
I can start out in the mornings with a full tank of fuel and drive approx 6 to 8 hours and then the problem arises. The engine starts acting like its starving for fuel, bucking and having a hard time keeping up its speed. The tank will be close to half a tank at this point. Stop for the night and procede the next morning with a fuel tank and the same thing happens again around a half of the tank used.
Please any help would be appreciated.

Harry G: May I suggest that you start your own new message topic with your question? Even though it s a fuel problem, it is substantially different than Davesr82' problem and trying to answer both in one message thread is going to be very confusing.

The fuel tank vent may be plugged and you are pulling a vacuum as fuel is used. The fuel pump is having a hard time working against a vacumn.

The most likely cause of Davesr82's problem is a clogged fuel filter. If replacing the filter doesn't help, then the engine fuel pump has probably quit. It's probably in the tank, so replacement is not simple.
The generator has its own fuel line to the tank and its own fuel pump.
