Fuel tank

Appears I have a leak in my fuel tank. Anyone have experience with replacing a tank on a Freightliner chassis? It’s an Allegro Bus. 150 gallon tank Trying to estimate costs and shop time. Opinions on replace versus repair ?

A fab shop welded my aluminum aux tank leak for $40 which I removed and had cleaned first. Check with a local fab shop or truck stop.

Were that my tank I would try the KISS principle first. I would buy some fuel tank repair epoxy, clean the leaking area and apply the epoxy mixture. I have successfully repaired gas tanks on several vehicles in the past with this epoxy product.
If this doesn't work, then it may be time to start spending more money.
