Full coach sealants

Picking up our new 2015 Thor Ace 27.1 next Saturday. Dealer wants me to purchase total inside and out sealant for $1800. Seems overly expensive and am not sure if it is necessary. Need advice please.

IMHO a total waste of money unless you are unable to wax the coach yourself, and even then you can get a good job done by a third party for a lot less. This pure profit for the dealer!!

YUP very expensive spray wax job. Don't fall for it.

Don't fall for ANY dealer ad on items, they are just pure profit for the dealer, this included extended warranties, tire services, etc.

The most I've ever had to pay someone to wash and wax ours was $300.

It was so clean and slick, it made it easy to pay him.

To get it that slick enough to be worth $1800 you would fall out the door.

I've been fixing cars (autobody) for over 20 years. I specialize in paintless dent repair, I worked with 100's of dealers around the country. They pay their wash guy $10 to wash cars, then when somebody buys the sealant he has to use a spray wax after.

Each place uses a different spray wax, generally which ever is the cheapest to buy at the time.

It's your $1800, how long do you think it would take you wax it?

'Run Forrest, run' there is no way that I would be willing to spend $1800 for this from a dealer! Most of the MH's today have a good clear coat finish on them to start with. As far as the inside goes, Scotch guard is already on the cloth and the leather can be cleaned real easy.
When I was our MH, it takes me about 3 hours and it is time well spent. Use the money on something that you really want/need.

yep totally agreed. not only for rvs, for all other vehicles, boats, etc...
