Stick the wine glass, head first, into a can coosie and put in any cupboard. 18 years and no broken wine glasses.

After breaking two different sets of fine wine glasses over time, inside and outdoors, ........we went this route...... Acrylic Wine Glasses, Polycarbonate Wine Glasses & BPA Free Plastic Wine Glasses , no problems since the switch. They look great, hard to tell they are not glass. Just be careful washing them, use nothing abrasive.

Ours go along in the cupboard, heads down, sitting tightly grouped.

I installed cargo nets (motorcycle size) inside the cabinets. They hook at the bottom front and at the top back. Keeps all the china/glasses in place during travels. You can pull out glasses, plates, cups, etc. through or over the netting as needed. Nets come out easily for long stays.

The cargo nets are cheap at Harbor Freight. Used small screw-in hooks to attach.

I sort of like the idea of a red Dixie cup. They last and they are cheap

Old school? Bali Hi or Boone's Farm? Not for real wine.

I made a grid system from plastic strips about 2 1/2 inches high to hold each glass like egg crate. No rattling and broken glasses. We agree that wine should be drank from glass!

Dixie cups might taint a good wine ... but putting wine glasses inside dixie cups for travel helps protect them! Original box with dividers is my preference for travel.

We use the poly-carbonate stemmed glasses all the way. They don't change the taste, keep the wine cool and can be bounce around/dropped and they keep on ticking.
