Question Furnace Ignition Issues 2012 Thor Daybreak 34KD

Hello everyone!

We're full timing in my 2012 Thor Daybreak in the Seattle area where it has been in the 20-30s all week. We've noticed our furnace is not always igniting the way it should. This is what we think the issue is, so feel free to tell us if it's something else.

It sounds like it ignites for a moment and loses the flame. Then we hear it click to ignite again, burns for a moment, loses the flame. This cycle repeats. I've been turning the furnace off for a minute and then back on and often this solves the problem but I'm concerned there might be an issue with my furnace since its only been doing this for about a week now.

Anyone experienced this issue? Any idea what the problem might be?

Could be a bad or going bad thermocoupler. The pilot heats the thermocoupler and it tells the control valve to allow gas. If the themocoupler is bad the pilot will light waiting for the signal to open the gas and in a few seconds will shut down. The thermocoupler are cheap.
