Are there any new updates for the Garmin?

If you install Garmin Express it will keep track of updates and notify you when they are available. Hope you have lifetime maps and traffic.

Not to be snarky but wouldn't that depend on how old your current software is? Mine's about 7 years old so I'm sure there have been updates for it.

Garmin Express informs when there are updates. Just did ours for the eastern US. Log on to Garmin.com with the cable that came with the unit to access any updates.

There are updates every few months. Some may not apply to your GPS both it's worth checking.

As to software updates, it depends on your unit. As to maps 4 times a year.
