Gas fill vent problem

I have a 2004 Holiday Rambler on a Workhorse chasis. It is very hard to fill the gas tank due to apparent lack of proper vent. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, it is a fairly common problem. It is a long distance from the fill cap to the tank, and the fill tube will be level or almost level for part of the distance. Sometimes, the fill tube has a little bit of a sag in it. The sag is what causes the incoming gasoline to back up.

Climb under the back of the motorhome and check the fill tube for sags. Look for ways to support the tube to eliminate the sags.

This was talked about on the Workhorse Chassis forum of iRv2. Crawl under, locate the fuel fill tube, now find the fuel vent tube. It is a smaller vacuum hose type line. See if the vent tube is lower than the fill tube. Slide it to the top of the fill tube.
