Gas gauge question.

I am wondering when is my tank empty is it when the needle goes all the way to the bottom left or is it the first Circle that resembles an empty tank I know this may be a stupid question to some people but I am actually confused on whether I have a an empty tank or a quarter tank please look at the picture on this post and help me with this thank you

The empty circle is empty tank
The half circle at 12 oclock is half tank
The full circle is full tank.
The lines in between are 1/4 tank, and 3/4 tank.
