45 DP with toad. Love truck stops. Just pull in, go inside if you have to, come out and fill up. When full pull ahead far enough so the truck behind you can do his thing. Go inside and finish paying. Back on the road with no worries about room. I have a 150 gallon tank and just start looking for fuel when I have around 50 left.

Also sometimes you catch an attendant washing bays down with pressure washer. Slip him 5 or 10 bucks and the front of your rig is spotless. No cleanings bugs tonight. Only cocktails. Win win.

Gas Stations and MH Access: use Google satellite view

Here's a Trick!

I try to plan ahead especial looking for Costco gas. Use satellite view of your options en-route to see how they are laid out. This can really help particularly you are pulling a toad.

I have two Costco's near home. One has a great lead-in space and the other always chokes off access aisles.

Sometimes they'll even advertise as RV friendly on the blue service signs. Oh, also I use the AllStays app to find stations.
Thanks Swan-Bull. Appreciate the feedback. - We've already followed an "RV friendly" sign just to find out they meant diesel. But Flying J, Pilot, & Loves is a good suggestion.

Go online to Pilot Flying J Travel Centers and look for the RV Travel Guide, the locations with separate RV fueling will be indicated. Currently the latest version I find is marked 2014.

That's a completely different animal. Backing the trailer is no issue.
PbdBlue is exactly right, you can damage the front running gear on the vehicle and you will damage the tow bar.

And we always pay a good bit more for this convenience.
OP has a gasser and probably just needs a little more experience, especially if he's not pulling a toad.
The poster with the 34ft rig, must remember that he's not driving much more than a car, as well.....lol

Yes. Gas. And pulling a toad. Without the toad, it wouldn't be a problem. You're right though - with more experience, we'll be able to plan it out better than we have been. We are still relative newbies. (But love this forum for getting ideas!)

Thanks to all who shared.
