Gasket on slide out

The gasket on the long slide out has fallen off. I'm thinking it's just a quick fix - but what do I use to keep it in?

Also, just minor things happening, but it's kind of a pain to bring it in. One of the drawers doesn't stay shut, and the wardrobe door doesn't either.

Any help is appreciated. Don't say the DH can do it - we already know the answer to that!

If the gasket is the double bulb with sweep seal and the only problem is the spring steel in the groove has rotted out it can be "glued" back on and work for a few more years. You will want to put the room out about half way to remove, clean and re-install the gasket with a good gasket adhesive. I have used 3M 800. If you have a topper over the slide out it needs to be pinned and removed from slide out wall; it can be laid on the roof during repairs. If the DH can't do it then a repair shop or qualified person will have to.

Thanks RV Wizard. Maybe it's not even a gasket (DH gave me that word). It's a rubber seal that ran the length of the slide, underneath. I'm going to do some more research, as I think it must be an easy fix/glue, etc., instead of paying the $100/hour that the rv repair folk charge up here. I KNOW I can do it - it's just a matter of research, and taking the time.

Post us a good photo of the seal and what the problem area looks like. Some flat seals on the bottom is just screwed to the main floor.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Since I got my smartphone a couple weeks ago, first thing I did is install IRV2's app. This makes sending pics easy as pie, no laptop, no cables, no cardreaders, no resizing.

Just "attach", "from camera" "click" "send"

Wow! I got my smartphone to attach the pics. Thanks for those directions!! So, there's the long seal. We found it on top of the storage cabinets under the slide (these come out with the slide).
