I am looking for those that have used GEICO for road side assistance with thier RV? Good experience or Bad?

I currently have GEICO and GoodSams Platinum. Thinking about dropping GoodSam.

I do not want to start a war, but GS platinum is the ONLY one that will tow to where you want within 100 miles, not just to local place.

I have Geico and tried to use them for a rear dualities flat tire. They could not find a tow truck company to help in my area after 30 mins. I found a place in 3 mins and there were at my rev in 15 mins. Rear tire needed to be replaced. Guy followed me while I drove my motor home to their shop. Enough said about Geico. I was in NJ just outside Heightstown.

Not true. Coachnet will do that too. Also more highly regarded then GS. Plus they have techs on staff that can help you try to solve a problem when you're stuck. Never heard GS doing that.

Yeah, someone got hold of fake news there. GS is rather limited compared to some others.

AAA for example. They tow up to 200 miles and drop off at either the repair facility of choice in that range or the registered address of the policy holder. The policy follows the subscriber, not the VIN. So if the policyholder has bought, rented, borrowed, or is just in the driver seat when the service truck pulls up, it's covered. "It" can be a bicycle, motorcycle, car, truck, class A ... Doesn't matter. Compare that to GS.

I have Geico also but have never had to use their roadside assistance. As a precaution I purchased FMCAs roadside assistance since it is more related to RVs. For $69 (now $74) it is a low cost for peace of mind.

Have used Geico for two tows in our 10 years of ownership.

In both cases they dispatched a wrecker large enough to tow the Eagle.

In both cases they towed us to the service center of our choice.

Full disclosure, these were both breakdowns that were local but there was no cost to us and no increase in premiums after the events.

Geico will tell you on the front end if the cost of the tow is completely covered, I believe there is a distance maximum but I do not know what the number is.

I had a transmission issue so I made arrangements with the nearest Allison shop to get it fixed. When I called Geico to get it towed, the woman didn’t hesitate for a second to go along with my decision to have it towed to Allison, even though I’m sure there were closer mechanics on Geico’s list who were closer, though not transmission specialists. I appreciated the fact that she didn’t try to second guess me.

The tow truck was perfect for a 34’ RV, the driver definitely knew what he was doing as he prepped the RV for towing, & I never saw a bill. I would have to therefore say I had a completely positive experience with Geico.

The bottom line, really, is that no matter who your emergency roadside service is, there will be people who have had positive experiences & those who have had very negative experiences. I doubt that any service exists where NOBODY has had a bad experience.
