Generac 40g 3,600 w MUFFLER part?

While exercising generator (running a/c) and walking around from storage bin I could hear a rattling noise which stopped suddenly as a 2"(approximately) tube with with a conical shaped wire mesh object fell from the generator muffler pipe. That was the rattling noise I presume I was hearing as it came loose. I found screw. Guess I can just re-insert with new screw and maybe some lok-tite?

ToledoCharli,

Generac is one of the least expensive generators for full RV use.
Make sure you use lok-tite for high temp useage.
I believe the screen is a spark arrestor and should be reinstalled.
While you're at it, tighten all nuts and bolts that you find loose to prolong gen. life.

AND
Steve
