Generator AutoStart

I just purchased and installed the Onan EC-30W generator autostart. The system is really simple to install.
We travel with our pets and were afraid the possible tragedy that could occur if there was a power outage and we were away from the campsite. As long as there is shore power the EC-30W will not start the generator. I have ours set to start by temperature. On a hot day when the air conditioner is operating I have the EC-30W set to 80 degrees F. If the shore power fails and the temperature in the coach rises above 80 degrees F. the EC-30W will start so that the air conditioning will operate to cool the coach. If the shore power is restored the genset will run for 10 minutes after the shore power is restored. This procedure prevents short cycling of the genset if the shore power isn't stable.

I am very pleased with the operation. Cummins/Onan did a great job with this product. I have included a short installation video so that you can see how easy this product is to install. Happy RVing everyone.

You might want to check this feature...our auto start can be set to come on if the battery charge goes below a certain point.

The Onan EC-30W will start the genset if the battery condition falls to a low level set point. I believe it also has a quiet time setting as well.
