Generator backfiring and hard to start

On our last trip out west the Generac propane gen would sometimes backfire and be hard to start. After changing plugs and air filter to no avail, I figured it may be in need of a valve adjustment.
I contacted Generac and they didn't know the gap to set the valves at so they put me in touch with someone who did. (on the internet in general it is stated .002-.004) I was informed by the other tech guy by looking up model number mine is actually .005.
I set gap to .005 and it purrrrs like a kitten. I thought I would throw in a pic to show where the adjustment is because it is a little different than the Briggs engines in other applications.
The people at Generac actually called me that evening to make sure I figured it out and gave me a spec of .004-.006. I am imperssed with their customer service at this point. I have never been called back by a tech helper to make sure all went well.
Hope this helps someone.
