I have to believe that there is something that was disconnected or switched off while in the shop that replaced the roof. You may have to wait until they reopen, after Christmas, if you don't need to head out right away. Otherwise...

Make sure that one of the smaller connections on the generator starter solenoid goes to a good ground and that, when you push the start button, you have 12VDC on the other small pin of the solenoid. Check for 12VDC on one of the heavy duty connections of the starter solenoid. (That should always be present; while the small pin should only have 12VDC when you're pressing the generator start button.) If it's not there, start tracing that wire towards the battery. When you find 12VDC, the disconnect is between there and the point you checked just before you found voltage.

It all depends on the weather, and Redeye50's tolerance of it.

Wishing you some good, warm, dry weather. Merry Christmas...

Pushed the switch, started the generator and all the lights work BINGO. After the new battery and solenoid switch and several hours of over thinking it's over. At least it was a learning experiance. Probably needed a new battery anyway and now I have an extra solenoid. Still have slight problem, Generator won't start remote from over the oven and the hour meter is not working. Probably missed a connection when I changed the solenoid. I will look later. Thanks for all the help from everyone and I wish all of you MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Glad you got it straightened out.
