Generator vs. Engine power?

Are there any risk associated with using your generator with the engine running?

None. Just be aware that most coaches are set up so that when you get to 1/4 tank of fuel the generator will shut down (fuel pickup is at 1/4 tank).

You risk staying cool and what fun would that be

Generators are designed to be used, so use it. Just make sure you maintain it.

Just one: Generator will stop long about 1/4 tank of fuel.

Or in short, NO, there is not. In fact if you are driving this summer on the south side of the Mason Dixon line (And for that matter a good part of NORTH of said line) it's a must as Dash Air can not possibly keep an RV cool.. You need the roof air to avoid COOKing (When I first typed cool I hit K by mistake).
