Georgetown or Bounder

Hi, we are narrowing our search down to the Bounder 34t or 35k or the Georgetown 369ds or 377ts. We are driving ourselves crazy deciding on which one. We are looking at 2015 or 2016s. Anyone have thoughts on pros or cons on any of these models? Thanks for your input.

Which floorplan do you like best?

I'm biased, but I'd pick the Bounder.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Personally, I like the Georgetown over the Bounder...seems to me that Georgetown has a better house build. The Bounder's 35K floorplan calls for a pantry next to the fridge - I've never seen one, most have a double door fridge, so there is no room for the pantry shown. Also, the cabinetry seems heftier in the GT, particularly the bedroom hanging closet. Where the double doors close in the Bounder's closet, the center board where the doors meet is so flimsy that they had to install wimpy latches to capture the door's mechanism. Still, I had to back up the center board with my hand to close one half of the door and then close the other half. Seems to me if you hit a good bump, those doors would swing open.

GT's answer to the Bounder's bath & 1/2 is the M-360DS and at almost 38', has a roomier feel. The GT's bed is a King, Queen in the Bounder...personal preference there. It's(GT) rear bath double vanity is a nice touch and the shower seems bigger as well. The GT's driver's seat wins for comfort(IMO).

The chassis are both Ford based.

Our first Class A was an '11 G'town 280 but we have no experience with a Bounder. We had no problems at all with the G'town the 3 years we had it. We made two month long trips in it which included crossing the Rockies and it got us & the toad there and back.

We've been looking at the same models as you and when we pull the trigger it will be the Georgetown. As others have said fit and finish seem a bit better and I thought the couch was more comfortable and longer in the Georgetown. We also like the king bed in the 369. Now for us this could all go to the wayside if DW decides she'd rather stay with a Fifth wheel.

we moved to the Palazzo due to the Georgetown floorplan not fitting our lifestyle needs, but never had any issue with it the few months we had it - liked the interior and wish we could have it in our current coach : )

I own a bounder and have sold both brands. Look underneath and all around. The bounders build quality and components are much higher quality than the georgetown. In my opinion and our service techs, the bounder wins hands down in the quality comparison. Once our initial punch list was handled, we have had almost three years and 20,000 miles of trouble free use and that includes 8 months full time. I love that all the wires and such in the bounder are labeled and fleetwood service from the factory has been top notch.

When I was looking about a year ago the Bounder was one of my top choices. In fact I really liked the 35K model. But I ended up with a like new used Newmar Canyon Star.
