Georgetown XL

Just purchased new. Took it out for maiden shake out run. Pretty good home fun time. One problem that I would like to know if any one else has. The front slider Windows driver and passenger side are only held closed by a small very small rocker type plastic. It does not hold Windows closed. No matter how many times I try to lock it I can still open the window while locked. I'm holding closed with a piece of wood. Very classy looking. I have sent message to forest fiver for a fix. If some one else has this problem let me know how u fixed it please thanks.

A $100,000 motor home with 29 cent window locks. Pathetic.

I hope you find a suitable solution.

Start your list of warranty items.
I had a list of 30 that are being taken care of.
Congrats on your purchase.
I looked at the XL but ended up with a Bounder.

You may need legal paper and I would start with a new pad as you just never know how many items will be on it
Don't be discouraged. Just enjoy your use.

Yeah it's a small issue so far. Have list. This is first motorhome owned, three fifth wheels before. All forest river products, all pretty good. As with any camper unit they have things that need fixing. I normally do myself if not to expensive as don't want unit in shop that long during season. I wait till winter if it's minor. What I have noticed is that anything forward of entry door is not very well built. Flimsy. Just my opinion but could of been a little nicer. Didn't look at fleetwood. Mine is a 369DS, floor plan looks the same as yours.

Same here...which model did you get - we got the 350. Any ways, both sides same issue. I have had better luck with the drivers side but I used a screwdriver to slide in-between the two pieces so I can slide the lock closed. Drivers side seemed to hold but the passenger side came unlocked on my list small trip. Driving alone and noticed the window opened a little. Will try again tomorrow when I bring back home.

My dealer is 300+ miles away - the closest place I would trust is 100+; will put on the list when I am forced to take in.

Thanks for the info. I have the 369DS. I tried looking at an adjustment for it thinking that's all it needs. As you know it's a flimsy plastic rocker. I went to lowes and bought slide window locks, like the ones at stores you see. Works good. Will find out when I get out for next run. Farther this time. Don't know what forest river can do other than replace with a better window?

My fix to window. No reply from forest river. Haven't called dealer yet. Going on week trip sure to have more issues, hope not but will wait.
