Getting Anxious.
Went into the coach the other day and looked around and started making the new list of things to do. Then decided to order the window kit from David Root and clear up the fogged windows that have been bothering me. With that done, sat down and watched the weather for the week end, not what I wanted to hear, one to two feet of snow in the forcast, blizzard conditions. I'll relock the doors on the coach this morning.

How did the window rebuilding go? I'm in the process of removing my windows now so I can see if I have any etched glass. Did you have any that were etched?
I think that I'm going to have to order some replacements from Atwood but I'm going to fix the ones that I can.

What window kit? I also have a fogged window that I need to repair.
I have read about the shops that drill a hole in the top and bottom to allow the window to breath. However I also hear they still fog and can take 2 weeks or more to clear back up each time.
What I dont understand is why you cannot remove the window completely dismantle it with a wire (like removing a windsheild) clean the glass and re-seal the panes back together like orginally assembled?

That's basically what it is, a resealing kit. If its been foggy for a while the glass may be etched, you won't be able to clean it.

No etched windows, just a lightly fogged. The windows will get done before spring. The local RV dealer wants to give a hand, I'll be using his shop. He wants to start redoing windows in the Northeast. It's a good dealer and I'm hoping he takes it on. It's just not being done in the New England area. I think it would be good for all envolved. We'll see. I'll update you. I did get an email that the window kit has been shipped as well as a phone call from them yesterday. Last year depending on the sun it was difficult when using my mirrors, I thought then time to do something.
Still not happy with the snow.

I envy you at this point. It seems that the snow has started already. Cracked a rib yesterday, shoveling snow is going to be fun. I want warm weather.

For some reason Jim it seems like warm weather is on hold right now. It'll come, I just hope I get everything done so I can enjoy it this year. Safe travels.

SORRY about the snow for you, we don't have snow here, good thing because I don't do snow.
I started taking my windows apart today with some help from Dave Root's emails, I thought I had some that were lightly fogged but they won't clean up, I even tried a baking soda paste and no go. So it looks like new windows panes from Atwood, $150 to $175 each plus shipping. I have 9 dual panes that have failed. I didn't have any of the front windows fail so it's not a safety issue on my coach. Good luck on yours and let us know how it works out.

Yep...it seems like we never get everything done...but 5 months from now both A/C's will be screaming...and I will be looking for fall WX! Last fourth of July was a scorcher...had to go to the CG pool and stay submersed to the neck...but...I got a Yeti cooler now! My beverages should stay cold!

$235 for the repair kit? That seems high and close to what shops want to do the repair if I remove the window. Has to be someone that sells that window seal. There are a few window companies here in town I'm gonna try and see if I can get them to sell me some seal and if the glass is etched maybe they will cut me some glass too. I dont think the RV windows are DOT rated.

What exactly is this "snow" you speak of? I thought that stuff only fell at like the North Pole and/or Alaska? Are you trying to convince me that it falls somewhere in the Continental US? AND people actually live in it? As in, go outside etc? What's this world coming to?
