I wear one of my cowboy hats. It is adjustable to keep the sun out of my eyes regardless of direction. OTOH, a broad-brimmed Panama hat works just as well and is cooler in summer.

You need garb like the Geico motorcycle rider, made out of a big wad of sweaty money, to support your new hobby.

Funny is when I am driving home I often realized I forgot to pack a hat and may look like "the cat just drug me in". Always funny to pull up to stop somewhere, food or fuel, and hop out of a pretty nice looking coach looking like I just returned from some deserted island. No hat, no shave, and if you are really lucky no shower! That way I can always say I was "camping"

Keep on hand and use "Depends" when driving. You will understand fully when you get an ID10T that cuts you off and brakes or decides to lollygag since he got in front of instead of behind you.
Good luck and safe travels!
