Getting new couches

I have a 2006 American Coach Traditional 40L. It has 4 slides. It currently has a couch and a recliner on the front 2 slides. I would like to increase the sleeping compacity and wanted to get 2 couches. One a pull out and the other a sofa bed. The Pull out is 83" pulled out and the sleeper is 53" Will the fit with out overlapping? I havent picked it up yet and was having the dealer install them.

Sorry but by doing the math the 133" are wider than the 102" widebody coach.

It would only be 102" with the slides closed.

Would a combination of two jackknife sofas or a pull out and a jackknife sofa work?

Since the sofa(s) would be the depth of the S/O whether the slides are in or out is a mute point when the sofa beds are not out.

Getting new couches

Mrrrkva.......First of all Welcome!! This is the right place.

If I understand your dimensions properly, your pullout is 83 inches max width unfolded, and your sofa bed is 53 inches. I will assume you only intend to extend the sleepers when both slides are out. If so, you need a minimum total of 136 inches to accommodate the two sleepers, and at that they'll be butted against each other. I will also assume your two front slides are opposite one another. Also remember we're talking about the interior dimensions here, so 102 inches does not apply. Maximum interior space is likely about 97-98 inches, but you should check all interior dimensions and furniture sizes to be sure. If so, as long as you have at least 38-40 inches of total combined slide extension, the two sleepers ought to fit.

The 83 and 53 inches are UNFOLDED and I would only unfold them when the slides are out. The slides are opposite of each other..... I was just trying to find out how many inches I have with both slides extended. My measurements when they are folded in are fine.

Getting new couches

We have an 05 Tradition 40L. Just measured and from interior wall to interior wall with both slides extended I have 144". But the valances for the Windows will take up a few inches if the jackknife won't go under it. Maybe 4 inches or so.

Just unfolded both couches. Sleeper on driver side and jackknife on passenger side. Had about 5 or 6 inches between them to squeeze through. If yours are the same size as ours you'll be fine.
