GFI breakers popping.

Came back from a day trip and found a bunch of breakers popped in the rv, had it plugged in to 50 amp service and left ac's running. Reset breakers and all seemed ok. But now whenever I turn the inverter on the GFI breakers pop after a couple minutes. If I plug into shore power or with the gen running they are fine. Replaced the square D 20 amp GFI or arc fault as they call them and no change. If I pull the black wire, load wire, from the breaker they still pop with the inverter. Up until they pop everything works fine. Any clues wise ones?

Does your inverter have a modified square wave or a pure sine wave output? If it is a modified sine wave it may be the cause of your GFIs tripping.

I have no idea, it is a Trace model RV2012 2000 watt. It has been working fine until now and nothing has been changed, unless something is starting to go wrong with the inverter?

Locate your inverter and make sure ground wire has a good connection on both ends. Your GFIs are detecting a ground fault and tripping as it should if it only trips when inverter on.

Still struggling with this. It is only 2 GFI breakers out of 6 in the coach that pop. Replaced the breakers, again and after the inverter is on for about 2 minutes they pop. Checked the ground wire on the inverter and seems ok. Those two breakers only pop with the inverter on, shore power or gen set they are ok. I'm considering putting standard breakers in. Thoughts?

Arc Fault and Ground Fault (AFCI and GFCI) are two different beasts.. though I suspect they can be combined.

I would check for lose connections.... Epically all the connections in your breaker box.. ARC fault can be tripped by a loose connection, also the connections in the inverter junction box.

Beyond that I have nothing to offer.

I would check the power wire into and out of the inverter to see if there are signs of overheating. Most inverters are not rated for much load. Also check the wire into and out of the transfer switch. Most transfer switches are not rated for the full 50 amps.
