Girard Awnings

We are looking at a new RV and the build sheet gives an option for the Girard Nova series awning as an upgrade to the G-2000's. Can anyone give me advice on what the Nova awnings add in a real life scenario that would justify the $12K up-charge?

You didn't mention which MH manufacturer you were looking at, just a guess if it's the American Eagle or some Newmar's I believe the option provides 2 patio awnings that are mounted at the roof line and run the length of the coach. Here's a link to the nova info.

DT39 thanks for the reply, We're looking at a Newmar not that I think that really matters as it's a complete solution delivered by Girard. I have read the very limited info on the web but was really wondering if anyone out there has had the Nova solution as opposed to the G2000 and has a preference or a real world being it to either. It looks like the Nova has a hinge. Is this well worth it? Does it help with the wind issues everyone complains about? Any experience would be great.
