Give me a Brake, on 4 or 6 wheels?

Probably a dumb question I, excel at those! With a Class A gas motorhome with 6 wheels, do all 6 have breaks or only 4?

And while we're at it, what about diesel pushers? I know they have air breaks, but again 4 or 6? And what if the DP has a Tag axle, any breaks there?

At first, I thought this was a CB question.
All axles have brakes. If the axle has dual wheels, there is only one brake on each side for two brakes and 4 tires.
My 3 axle motor coach has 6 brakes and 8 tires. Brakes at the end of each axle, two brakes and two tires in front, two brakes and 4 tires on the drive axle and 2 brakes and 2 tires on the tag axle.

OK, I give up, what's a "CB question"?

Oh and great answer by the way!

breaker 19 - anybody got a copy on this motorhome? Citizen's Band radio from the 70's or so.

It was a (poorly worded) joke about the spelling difference between "break" and "brake"

"Brakes" sometimes "break" but RVs only have "breaks" when things are broken.

My DP has 6 wheels but it only has 4 sets of hydraulic disc brakes, (NOT air brakes).

Do people still use CBs today? I have a cobra in our motor home, but I've never turned it on.

I've not used a CB in years but I thought you would in a motorhome for road conditions etc.

So if a MH's brakes are broken...are they then "breaks?"

We have all wheel air disk brakes, that's 8 wheels, plus 4 on the towed. Add the three position engine brake and the Magna can STOP!!
