bdaball,
I have been watching this with interest since you posted it. We are in the same boat with my 82 year old father in RI. We have driven back once before with the Bounder in Feb. Temps were a bit above normal and we were able to stay 10 days before being driven out by a cold front. If we have to leave our Bounder behind, my first choice is on a site and plugged in. Freezing temps are an issue even in FL and damage from frozen pipes can be very expensive. The folks in the site next to us just flew north for two weeks, they are plugged in with their furnace set to 40. Second choice would be storing it at an RV Park that has onsite storage and lots of RVers around. As we are full time and most of what we own is in it, I would drive it north before going with a commercial storage lot. Even gated all kinds of people have access and I have heard stories of homeless people breaking into and living in RV's.
