We don't pick it up until this coming Friday. But will let you know kind of scary buying something that big without seeing it with our own eyes. Pictures can only do so much.

Hi,

You mentioned lifetime warranty. Warranty on what? I have never heard of a lifetime warranty on a motorhome.

I have a Winnebago Class A and have a 10 year warranty on the roof but not lifetime.

Would like to know more about this lifetime warranty.

More likely a limited warranty. I would go for a lifetime warranty.

Or a lifetime or until it breaks whichever is first??

It is called RVwarrantyforever it comes with a new RV. Check out the web site www.rvwarrantyforever.com I think you can only get it with a new RV purchase.

waynesc - We did the same type of deal. We live in Baltimore, and flew to Fort Myers on Friday the 22nd. We bought our coach, and due to work schedules, we left the next day for Baltimore. At least I can say I gave the running gear a workout. I did 1,140 miles in what amounted to 1 1/2 days. I will say, I was tired by the time I pulled up in front of the house. My wife hasn't sat in the driver's seat yet. That will take some time. We went from a popup, to a class A, with no stops in the middle. We also got a 2014. It's a Newmar Bay Star 3103 gasser. We don't need a Diesel right now. That could change in a few years....maybe.

Good luck with your new coach! Enjoy the feeling

How did you PDI go? Did you have time to go through everything with the dealer? I have printed a PDI checklist and plan on spending a few hours going through it after the test drive.

waynesc - The PDI went well. We found a couple of the storage bay doors needed some adjustments. The generator stopped and appeared to throw a code of 31, but that could have been my fault for not using the proper sequence to start it. They checked the generator out, cleared the codes, and made the adjustments to the bay doors. We have since put about 40 hours on the generator, most of that was continuous, with no problems. I think we arrived at the North Trail at about 11:30 in the morning, and the coach was ours by about 4:30. I could have probably done some better checking during the PDI, but from what I was seeing, they had, as promised, pretty well checked the coach over. It is ALLOT to take in. Every aspect of every system. Electrical (12V and 120V), Generator, Plumbing (on board pump and city side), Lighting, Mechanical(slides, awnings, steps), Interior (furniture, carpeting and tiles), Appliances. Oh and don't forget, you just bought a new vehicle, so you have all the normal running gear to check out. It was a long day, to be sure. Take your time. Due to work schedules we needed to be back in Baltimore by Tuesday morning. We spent the night in Cypress Woods RV Resort (on North Trail's dime) and hit the road home on Saturday Afternoon. We arrived home in Baltimore, Sunday around 5:30. (a Thank you goes out to the Virginia Highway system for giving us so much time to sit back and take in the scenery while waiting in traffic backups, which added about 90 minutes to our trip).

I was very skeptical about flying in, and buying a motorhome, and driving it home, but it came off without a hitch, as planned. Thanks again North Trail!
