Good sam extended warranty???

Does anyone know what GS means when they say "Known" and "Un-known" repairs?

If I understand it correctly. A lot of good sams warranties are for used units. If the previous owner had a repair made and he kept the documentation and told you about it that would be a known repair.

If the previous owner had repairs made that he did not document and did not tell you about that would be an unknown repair. I do not have my good sams warranty in front of me but i am assuming that there is a clause in there about not warranting previous repairs unless certain qualifications are made.

Let me give you a real life example of what you can get into with this kind of issue. First of all let me say that I have a good sams warranty and it has paid very well on repairs. The only repair they have disalowed was on my inverter assembly. I was not getting power out of one of the inverter circuits. I thought the inverter was bad and took it to a camping world for repair. Camping world found a loose connection prior to the inverter. Someone put an electrical outlet in line with one of the two output lines with the inverter. This outlet was used to power the battery charger for the chassis batteries. Because the outlet box was not part of the original factory install they disalowed the repair. I was not aware that there was a installation made after the factory.
