If you have AAA and like them give them a call. You might want to check with your RV insurance company and see if they offer coverage. I have Progressive and have their coverage. The one time I had to use them they were fine. It all depends on what tow service is in the area where you break down, or need help. If there is only one company in the area, chance all all of the services will use them.

One thing I have to question here so far, I also have Progressive and Erie exchange, if I needed help as far as I know with those two, I am left to do everything myself during a time of need/break down, and then summit the bill to them for reimbursement. The reason for someone like Coachnet/Goodsam services is that they take charge from the first phone call............and unless you step outside of the agreement, there is no charge to you.
A breakdown seems to cause a lot of confusion/loss of thinking on ones part on just what to do next........when on the side of the road............one call, to those who just do this everyday........seems to work a bit better from what I have found.
And.......by all means.......explore all your option's and ask a lot of questions........and after that......you will have it narrowed down I believe.

We have Good Sam and really like it. Unfortunately, we have had to use it numerous times and they have always been prompt and courteous. We even cancelled our AAA because Good Sam covers all your vehicles.

Pick up the AAA magazine and look at the contract. AAA is a regional "Club-organization" and you may be in an area which does not offer RV assistance. You will then be required to pay up front and "apply" for a "reasonable" reimbursement. As for getting what you pay for, GoodSam will increase the rate on renewal, the special price is only for first time signups.

Also be sure and read the fine print as to where and how far your RV will be towed to in the event of a breakdown.
Years ago I had AAA with RV coverage. I broke down and the nearest qualified repair facility was 135 miles away. AAA only covered 100 miles so I had to pay $4.50 per mile for the 35 miles.
Coach Net, and I believe Good Sam, will tow to the nearest qualified repair facility with no mileage restriction. This could be a big deal if you have a major engine problem and need to be towed to a Cummins or Caterpillar location.

AAA is not what it claims to be. I had them, but shortly after I needed their service, found out how strict their rules were. I have Coach-Net now, have used it a few times and am very happy their services!

We use Good Sam, and they are wonderful! The clutch fan failed in our 98 Prevost Mirage XL 45', 5 miles outside of Grand Canyon 2 months ago. Good Sam had a 700 HP wrecker on site in 2 hours and our 48,000 lb coach was towed 25miles to a qualified diesel shop which replaced the clutch fan with a new one. Tow cost $1,350 and Good Sam thanked me for being able to be of service!!
