PA is not for everyone. If it was, we would not be able to find a site.
Most restrictions are for weekend and holidays, or 3-5 day duration. The main reason it works for us is we are full time and we can use the mid week deals. I agree campgrounds come and go, but look at the web site to find current info on new CG's being added.
Today we are staying in Hemet CA at a Sunland RV park called Golden Village Palms. It is very close to our kids and we are only paying $25.00 per day, that's half price. If you want to stay longer, their policy is to give a 50% discount every 3 days, then full price for one day. We can stay as long as we like and still save a ton of money vs the daily or weekly rate.
So yes it's not for everyone, but for us it has already paid us back 3 fold in just 3 weeks

We will let our GS membership lapse. Unless the participating CG is on our route, it is not worth any excess fuel used to get there. Passport America can be a pain playing the availability game, but well worth the effort in saved $$$. Kind of a 'Extend-A-Stay' system. Bob

CG asks me if I'm good Sam & I say yes. Once in a while they ask to see the card so I show them my expired card. 10%-OK
Otherwise, the value just isn't there as we don't often stay in a park.

Considering the financial troubles of GS ownership (Affinity Group) it's no surprise that prices are going up. Same for Campig World. The owner put too many eggs in one basket - the RV industry - and it's killing him.

But, they need the $10.00 increase to continue mailing their unwanted "spam" to those of us that are not, nor will ever be, members!

If they were smart they would use emails to spam, then they could save 100's of thousands by cutting USPS costs.
(Then it's easier for me to throw it all out in my spam folder)

Hmmm...we canceled GS last year.

Now have an invite and a phony plastic card from GS for $12 for one year or $33 for three years.......which one should I accept................hmmmmmm.

But....FMCA went up $10 to $40 for renewal and no discount from Coachnet with the membership..................

Decisions, decisions. Think I will pass on both this year.
