Good Sam Roadside Assistance... we need help.

We have Good Sam Roadside assistance and we are broke down on I-24, southbound between Manchester and Mounteagle. We called for help and RoadsideAssistance told us we have to wait THIRTEEN HOURS!!!!

What kind of service is that? We are next to the highway with big 18 wheelers pulling past on the left, and on the right of us so close we can barely open the door. We are in some kind of pull-off, not a rest area.

The back double wheels sheared off the bolts and are literally falling off. We cannot move. Good Sam RA couldn't care less. How are they getting away with this?

We need to get towed and get this RV fixed. We have little food with us and 5 cats. THIRTEEN HOURS!!!! That this no typo.

Check your RV insurance. Your policy may also have emergency roadside coverage and they may be able to get someone out sooner.
Good Luck and stay safe.

Been trying to tell you all about Good Sam for a while now but you won't listen. Best bet is get active call State Police they'll get someone out to move you.

I've only needed Coachnet services once and they were great. Prompt service, return calls to check on me. Granted, I wasn't out in the boonies when I broke down, but the service was courteous and prompt.

I went to Coachnet after GS left us on the side of the road much like you. Only needed them once and they came through. And that was a holiday weekend.

I left Coach Net after they left me stranded, not sure any of them are any good, probably depends on where you are.

I think this hits the nail on the head. After reading many threads about assistance services over the years, I really think it comes down to luck... Where you are, how many towing companies are within some reasonable radius of you, and how busy they all are. I dunno - just my 2 cents.

Can't remember all the details, but back when I had GS, years ago, they wanted to leave me stranded for 24 hours. I had internet access so called around and found a tow nearby. Called GS back and insisted they use them. Surprised that they did.

Shortly after, dumped them and went with Coachnet. Very happy with their services, for the most part. Except for that one time, after giving the gurl explicit info with street signs and everything of where I was, she sent the tow truck exactly to the opposite side of town of where I was.

I've only had to call CoachNet once in 8 years. Although I was off the highway and safe, they found a service relativity close that I could get to and asked that I be fit into their full schedule that day. Then checked back with me.

I went to GS after CoachNet left us on the side of the road! I think they all suck for some and are good for others. GS had a truck to us in less than an hour. I'm convinced that it all depends on who is working in the service center when you call. It would not surprise me to find out that they all use the same service center.

I have had GS for over 15 years and except for one time with a utility atv trailer they would not come because of a clause that says no util trailers in the contract. I have used them a dozen times and they have always been prompt and helpful for me. I think it depends where you are. I just renewed for another 3 years.
