Smile Good Service in Las Vegas

HR Neptune 2009. ISB-340 & Allison 6
On a recent 1900 mile trip wile stopped in Bryce Canyon My ATS decided to leave this World in an explosive fashion, luckily the damage was contained in the ATS enclosure although the odor was not Tried to get service in Brce Canyon to no avail as they would have to orderr the parts from ST George taking 2-4 days and I was leaving the next Day I remembered having used a repair shop near Sams Town on boulder Highway in Las Vegas a long time ago. I looked them up on the internet, sent them a summary of the situation and some picutres to identify the actual ATS that evening.

I received a call back from john the following am. He scheduled me an appointment for 1:30 pm, I drove there and they replaced the ATS. They also dealt with my extended warranty co. They saved my vacation!

My thanks to John, Kathy and the guys (worked in downpour) at

Glad that you were able to find a shop that took care of you quickly.

Do you remember what the brand of your toasted ATS was?

If I was to guess it may have been an IOTA. They are fire and failure prone.

Also what brand did the shop install for you?

Yes it was an IOTA (50amp) and it was replaced with the same unit. I did ask about an upgrade but it would have had to ordered and I did not have time

It is on my list of items to watch for and I will upgrade if I can swing it

When you get the time, replace it with the ESCO LPT50BRD Transfer Switch.

I would do it sooner than later. $138.50 is the cheapest you will find it on the Internet.
