Good Year G149 GSA

Today I looked on my motor home and the Good Year tires I have put on the tags six months ago were G149 GSA made in USA. I have seen many threads in this forum warning about G670, but nothing about the G149. Can anyone make any comments as to if these are good tires or not?

Our coach had the G149's on it when I purchased it four years ago. They wore good and had 55K on them. I replaced them two years ago with the Goodyear G670 and really like them. We now have about 20k miles on them are they ride good and they are wearing good.

I had heard all of the bad about the G670 as well but I had heard equally bad about Michelin and Bridgestone which I have had good results with in the past. My cousin had the G670 tires on his 98 Monaco Signature and my aunt/uncle had the G670's on their 96 Beaver Marquis with several years and several tens of thousands of miles without any issue so I went with them as well.

I decided to trust my eyes and my relatives experience vs. the Goodyear slamming on the internet. Mike.

My G670's have been fine too - replaced the fronts last year and the rears are due now at 7 years and 58k miles.

The G149 is designated a "Regional Service" truck tire by GY bit they also say it is "suitable for Class A motorhome". The design is a simple, straight deep rib, excellent for channeling water out from under the tire. I would have no qualms at all about using that tire.
