Goodyear G159 tire problems prompts "silent" recall I don't own a MH, but thought this should be posted.

Good information Ray thanks,

we had the G159's on our coach although they were 245/70R19.5's. We didn't experience any premature wear but could never keep the front ones balanced properly. Replaced them with Bridgestones at 46,000 miles.

I have 4 on the rear axle of my coach. I guess I better examine them closely tomorrow!

I replaced my G159 tires a few years back. But it was not because of wear. 3 out of 6 tires had broken belts.

We had that tire on the front of our '97 40' Beaver and had an "erosive" wear pattern which we were told was only one free rolling tires (non drive) and it was not an adjustable occurance. We changed to the G670 in the same size which are supposed to address the problem. We had changed from 255/70 to the 275/70 22.5 H earlier.

I have a 35 foot Georgie Boy Pursuit (35 Anninv Edition) 2004 chassis double slides and had these tires. I had two blow outs. One right front one rear right dully. When I checked the tire date were 03's. I have since changed all tires, same brand, same size EXCEPT I went to G Loads. Original were F's. Just got back from Las Vegas in April and Conn last month. (Fl home base). Will keep my fingers crossed and pressure where it belongs.

I was just noticing my Goodyear G159 tires and they are H rated. I guess I'll never have to worry about this 32' mohome blowing them up!

A friend of mine just pulled into our campground and had two blowouts in Burns, OR with these tires. Both on the outside rear duals. I'll make sure he gets this.

Thanks Ray
