Goodyear tire cracks.

Today I had a service tech check a tire for a slow leak. Turned out to be the valve stem. However, when he had the outside dual tire off, he noticed a couple of small cracks on the inside sidewall down near the rim and parallel to the rim. He looked over the other tires and found another small crack on the outside of a front tire in the same spot. He suggested I have the tires looked at by a Goodyear dealer and replaced if they think its a potential hazard. The coach is only 4 months old and has 8300 miles on it. Mabe others will want to check their tires too.

While the coach may only e a couple of months old, the tires are another matter they may have been on the chassis for who knows how long and in storage before that. So how old are the tires and the way to tell is read the codes Tire Tech Information - Determining the Age of a Tire

Then I would be talking to Goodyear ASAP. 8 years is about the life expectancy of tires that are taken care of. Good luck and post what they have to say I will be interested.
