Smile Got New Tires Today

Got 6 new (0912 DOT date) Sumitomo ST718 245/70R19.5 LRF out the door for $2275 today at Universal Tire in Raleigh, NC. Great service and didn't charge a penny extra for struggling with the Crossfires on the rear duals. On the way home, we drove about 30 miles over city and Interstate and country roads. The tires softened most of the harsh thumps we've always experienced with the Goodyears (that came on the coach) going over expansion joints and small potholes. A much smoother ride now. So far, I'm happy with the new tires.

Got new tires today

ChasA,

Nice price on the tires. But what I really would like to know is how you like those crossfires?
I've had mine on for several years now and think it's great to be able to just look at the duals and tell that they are OK. Never had a leak or any problem with mine.
How 'bout you?

Luck,

Bob

I've only had the crossfires on for 3 weeks. I agree it's really nice to be able to check them a glance. But the real reason I got them was that I read that it's very important for dual tires to have the same pressure in them.

Sumitomo tires are made in Japan. The Crossfires are made ine the USA. I just knew someone would think the tires were Chinese.

Someone on another forum made a similar comment about France because I just bought new Michelin's for my truck...

My Reply was a pic of the sidewall stamp of one of the tires that said Made in USA
