Got the dreaded call from the Storage Lot!

Yeah got broken into at our storage lot. They entered through the drivers side slider they broke the glass. Although they emptied everything on the floor I can not find anything missing! They did not take the flat screen TV or the couple of dollars in change we kept for laundry. This freaked out my wife was they tried to light the mattress! We found our long butane lighters every where in the coach.

So Insurance is replacing the glass, we are looking for mattress suggestions. We don't want the sleep number were looking at the Campping World mattresses give us your opinion.

Thanks,
Alan & Terry

Sorry for your loss and glad the damage was minimal. Before we bought this coach we had a Roadtrek. The PO had a custom mattress made for it locally somewhere in Ohio. It really slept well. You might look for a Mattress Factory who will build you a custom mattress to fit your coach.

Our first coach was also broken into by the exact same means. They took the TV's but nothing else. Sounds more like vandals trying to harm you or anyone. Most likely punks with no direction but bad. Did you say you didn't want the sleep number but another type of mattress? FWIW we've had great comfort and service from Sleep Number just don't get the bottom of the line but upgrade to "premier". Just sayin, works for us in s/b and bus. Sorry for your issue?

I have seen a mattress advertised lately called the purple mattress. I have no personal experience but it looks interesting. I may just order one.

We have purchased four foam mattresses from Amazon for a condo and they have worked out great. I would suggest the 10" or thicker mattress.

Thanks so far for the Ideas. The mattress is a standard Queen size 60X80. We stopped at a Matress Firm store and did some shopping. We will see.

The little darlings broke into 17 in our lot and 4 in another storage lot down the road. This happened during the high school spring break. In one class A one of them had to have cut open an artery!!!! Blood was all over that coach and they sat on the bed and bleed a puddle while using the first aid kit! Not sorry for that guy. But sorry for the owner. We had the police take finger prints and I mentioned to the police to check nearest emergency room kid had to go there I think.

Any way an ordeal.

I looked at the Denver Mattress at the irv2 rally in Myrtle Beach. I was really impressed but decided to stay with my sleep number. You might check Denver as they are high quality foam and made really well.

Sorry about this news, does the storage lot have security cameras?

Take a look at this company.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, as for the mattress, if you have an IKEA near by, they have some great mattresses for a good price.

For a previous toy hauler I got a queen mattress at Sam's. Great sleeping mattress and you don't have to worry about buying the box springs also.

We replaced ours with a memory foam mattress from Costco. Our old mattress was a RV Queen, making the new one about 4inches too long. Easy fix, pulled the cover back, got out the electric carving knife, went through the foam like butter. Just tucked the cover underneath.
